Practical tips for combatting social isolation

Here’s some simple tips that can be implemented to help combat social isolation.

Frequent Phone Calls: Set a schedule for regular phone calls. Even short daily or weekly conversations can make a big difference-

Video Calls: Use platforms like Zoom, Skype, or FaceTime to add a visual element to your conversations. Seeing each other can enhance the feeling of connection.

Family group chat: Set up a family group chat, where participants can share updates, news and photos.

HaloCare's Comfort Call:  HaloCare offers clients to opt in to receive a daily 'comfort call'. The comfort call provides the client with a friendly, familiar voice each day, scheduled at a time that suits their schedule. This helps keep clients connected and ensure they have regular social interaction.
