Caring for a loved one at home can feel overwhelming. Families want reassurance, clear communication, and support they can trust. HaloCare’s Circle of Care App brings everything together in one simple, connected system.
This guide explains how the Circle of Care App works and how it helps families stay informed, involved, and confident.
Who is the ‘Circle of Care’?
The Circle of Care is a connected support network built around the client, it can include anyone who cares for the individual's wellbeing and ranges from children of aging adults, friends and extended family.
The goal is the circle of care is simple
-
Keep loved one safe
-
Keep families informed
-
Keep everyone connected and up to date on the loved one's health and wellbeing.
Why the HaloCare ‘Circle of Care Companion App’ was created?
The Circle of Care Companion App was created to bring families, friends, and informal carers into an informed and connected support network, ensuring that the people who matter most are never on the outside looking in.
Family members who are unable to regularly visit their loved ones, due to work commitments, distance, or living abroad, may often rely on second-hand updates from others on the well-being of their loved ones.
At HaloCare, we understand that looking after a loved one at home is often never done by a single individual or service in isolation. Effective long-term care at home relies on a network of people.
Yet for many families, that network of people often lacked the tools to function as one. There was no common view of daily wellbeing, no shared understanding of emerging changes, and no reliable means of real-time connection between those at home and those who cared for them from a distance.
How the ‘Circle of Care Companion’ App Works
The Circle of Care Companion App can be downloaded by any member of the Circle of Care who has been approved by the client. The Circle of Care Companion App is available on both Android and IOS making it accessible for all.
Once downloaded and set up, the user will be able to see key information on the interface including:
-
If their loved one has gotten up in the morning or left the home
-
Used the microwave/kettle or any other appliances that have the HaloCare Appliance Management devices attached
-
If they have been contacted by the Care Hub team via the daily Check-in Call
-
Events or appointments via the Calendar function.
This information is gathered through contactless, discreet sensors placed around the home as part of the HaloCare safety solution, designed to recognise changes in daily activity without being intrusive.
Benefits of the Circle of Care Companion app:
1. Keeps the Client at the Centre
The client remains independent at home while staying connected to support.
